Acceptable use policy

The content policy says what you may not create. This policy covers everything else: how you may use accounts, the workspace and the API, what counts as abuse of the platform, and what we do about it. It is part of the terms of service.

1. Content rules (summary)

You may not create, upload as a reference, or publish: sexual content involving minors; non-consensual intimate imagery; deepfakes or impersonation of real people without consent; voice clones of real people without consent; copyrighted characters, works or music without authorisation; harassment, threats or incitement; fraud or deceptive 'authentic' footage; or anything unlawful. The content policy has the full list, the grey-area table, and the reporting process.

2. Account rules

  • One person, one account, unless you are managing a team workspace. Creating multiple accounts to collect promotional credits or evade limits is prohibited.
  • Do not share credentials. Invite team members to a workspace instead.
  • Do not impersonate another person or organisation in your account details or public profile.
  • Do not use the Service if you are under 18 or are barred from using it under applicable law.

3. Platform abuse

  • No automated access to the website or workspace except through the documented API with your own keys.
  • No evasion of rate limits, quotas, credit checks, moderation or geographic restrictions, including through proxies, multiple keys or manipulated requests.
  • No probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the Service without written permission. Report security issues to legal@seedancee.com.
  • No interference with other users' jobs, no attempts to access other users' data, and no reverse engineering of the Service beyond what the law allows.
  • No scraping of public galleries or documentation at a scale or in a manner that burdens the Service.
  • No uploading of malware or files designed to exploit the Service, the provider or other users.

4. API and reselling

  • API keys are for your own application or your workspace's applications. Do not share keys with third parties or embed them in client-side code.
  • You may build products on the API, but you must apply the content policy to your users and not present your product as an official ByteDance or Seedance service.
  • Reselling raw access to the Service (for example, offering 'unlimited Seedance' through a shared account) is prohibited without a written agreement.
  • Respect the documented rate limits. Bursts that degrade service for others may be throttled without notice.

5. Public content

  • Publish only content you have the right to publish and that complies with the content policy.
  • Use accurate titles and descriptions. Do not publish deliberately misleading metadata to game search or discovery.
  • Do not publish large numbers of near-duplicate clips to flood the gallery.
  • We may unpublish, downrank, or refuse to index content at our discretion, and we review public content before it becomes indexable.

6. Enforcement

  1. 01

    Warning or rate limit

For first or minor issues, we may warn you or temporarily limit generation or API throughput.

  2. 02

    Content removal

Content that violates the rules is unpublished or deleted. Reserved credits for blocked jobs are released; captured credits for completed violating content are not refunded.

  3. 03

    Suspension

Repeated or serious violations lead to suspension. During suspension you can export your library unless the law or the violation prevents it.

  4. 04

    Termination and reporting

Severe violations, including content involving minors or non-consensual intimate imagery, result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities where required.

We keep hashes and metadata of content that triggered enforcement so repeat attempts can be recognised, as described in the privacy policy.

7. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was wrong, email support@seedancee.com with the relevant IDs and your explanation. A person reviews every appeal, and we reverse actions when the content or behaviour is within the rules. Decisions on content involving minors or non-consensual intimate imagery are not subject to appeal.

8. Reporting abuse

Report content through the report control on public video pages or by emailing support@seedancee.com. Report copyright infringement through the process on the copyright page (copyright@seedancee.com). Report security vulnerabilities to legal@seedancee.com; we ask that you give us a reasonable time to fix issues before disclosure.

Preguntas frecuentes

Can I run several accounts for different projects?

Use one account with multiple projects or a team workspace. Multiple personal accounts, especially to collect promotional credits or evade limits, are prohibited.

Can I build my own app on the Seedancee API?

Yes, once API access is switched on for your Pro workspace (the API is in early access until then): use your own keys, apply the content policy to your users and do not present it as an official ByteDance product.

Can I sell access to my Seedancee account?

No. Reselling raw access requires a written agreement.

What happens if my job gets blocked by moderation?

The job fails and reserved credits are released. Repeated attempts at prohibited content lead to rate limits and suspension.

How do I report a security issue?

Email legal@seedancee.com with details. Do not test vulnerabilities against live user data.
