Refund policy

Credits pay for compute that is spent the moment a generation succeeds, so our refund rules are built around one principle: you should never pay for a job that did not deliver. This page explains automatic credit releases, refunds for purchases, and how to ask for one.

Failed generations: automatic, no request needed

When you submit a job, the estimated credits are reserved, not spent. If the provider reports the job as failed for any reason (an error, a timeout, a moderation block, a capacity problem), the reservation is released back to your balance automatically and the generation is marked failed in your library. We re-check the provider's record before capturing credits on success, so a job cannot be charged twice.

Credit packs

  • Credit packs are sold only to subscribers. Pack credits never expire, and they are spent after your subscription credits.
  • Unused credit packs are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase if no credits from that pack have been spent.
  • Partially used packs are refundable pro rata for unspent credits within 14 days of purchase, at our discretion, minus payment processing fees where the law allows.
  • After 14 days, credit packs are not refundable except where required by law or where we discontinue the Service.
  • Credits we grant free of charge (for example as a goodwill adjustment) have no cash value and are never refundable.
  • Cancelling a subscription does not refund pack credits: they stay in your account and can be spent again once you resubscribe.

Subscriptions

  • Starter and Pro are billed weekly, monthly or yearly. You can cancel any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, you keep your plan and its remaining credits until then, and you are not charged again.
  • Unused subscription credits roll over up to one period's allowance; credits above that cap expire when the next period's credits arrive and are not refundable.
  • First-time subscribers can request a full refund of the first period within 14 days if they have spent less than 10% of the period's credits.
  • Renewals are not refundable once the period has started, except where required by law. Set a reminder or cancel before the renewal date; we email a renewal notice in advance.
  • If we materially reduce what your plan includes during a paid period, you may request a pro-rata refund of that period.

Service discontinuation and outages

If we discontinue the Service, unspent purchased credits and the unused portion of subscriptions are refunded. If a prolonged outage prevents you from using credits you purchased, contact support; we will restore the affected credits or refund them at our discretion. Outages are recorded on the status page.

Not refundable

  • Successful generations, regardless of your satisfaction with the output.
  • Credits spent by workspace members you invited.
  • Accounts terminated for violating the content policy, acceptable use policy or terms.
  • Chargebacks initiated instead of contacting us: disputes on purchases sold through Stripe Managed Payments are handled by Stripe, which may contest them for delivered services, and we may suspend the account.

Refunds issued by Stripe

Purchases made from 3 October 2026 are sold through Stripe Managed Payments, with Stripe (through Link) as the merchant of record. You can also ask Link support for a refund, and Stripe may issue one itself within 60 days of the purchase, for example to resolve a support request or prevent a dispute. A refund includes the tax you paid. When a credit pack is refunded, its credits are removed in proportion to the amount refunded; a refunded subscription payment is reviewed by us and the credits of that period may be removed. Statutory cooling-off rights are applied by Stripe where they apply.

How to request a refund

  1. 01

    Email support@seedancee.com

From your account email. Include the invoice number or the generation ID and a short description.

  2. 02

    We check the record

We look at the credit ledger, the provider job record and the timing. Most requests are answered within two business days.

  3. 03

Refund to the original payment method

Approved refunds are issued through Stripe (shown as Link for purchases sold through Stripe Managed Payments) to the card or method you paid with. Banks typically post them within 5–10 business days.

Statutory rights

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law, including cooling-off rights for distance purchases where they apply. Where local law grants you more than this policy, local law applies.

よくある質問

Do I get credits back if my Seedance generation fails?

Yes, automatically. Credits are reserved when you submit and released when the provider reports failure, including moderation blocks.

Can I get a refund because I do not like the video?

No. A successful generation has consumed provider compute. Use short, low-resolution drafts to iterate cheaply before committing to a full-quality run.

I bought credits by mistake. Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days if the credits are unspent. Email support@seedancee.com with the invoice number.

I forgot to cancel and was charged for a renewal.

Renewals are generally not refundable once the period starts, but contact us; if no credits from the renewed period were used we will consider it.

How long does a refund take to arrive?

We issue approved refunds through Stripe promptly; banks usually post them within 5–10 business days.
