How it works

Pick a model
Seedance 2.5 for up to 30 seconds, references, edit and extend. Seedance 2.0 for 4K. 2.0 Mini for cheap drafts. 1.5 Pro for a locked camera. Options come from the live registry.

Write the shot
Subject and setting, action, camera, light, then a final sentence for sound. Keep one idea per 5–10 seconds.

Add media if needed
A first frame (and optional last frame) for image-to-video; images, clips and audio as references on 2.0 and 2.5. Limits are enforced before you spend anything.

Check the estimate and generate
The credit cost updates as you change settings. Generating reserves the credits and needs an account with a subscription, from $4.99 a week for Starter, so the result is saved to your library. Failed jobs are refunded automatically.
Tips for a good first generation
- Draft at 480p or 720p, then re-run the keeper at delivery resolution.
- Use concrete camera verbs (push-in, orbit, tracking, locked off) and only one per short clip.
- Describe sound as layers: ambience, one or two foley events, an optional music mood.
- For consistent characters or products, attach reference images on Seedance 2.5 and mention them in the prompt.
- Do not name real people, copyrighted characters or third-party brands; the content policy applies to prompts and uploads.

Do I need an account to create a Seedance video?
You can configure everything without one. Pressing Generate saves your draft, asks you to create an account and choose a plan, and starts the video once your subscription is active; the result is stored in your library.
Is creating a video free?
Configuring is free; generating needs a subscription and costs credits. There are no free trial credits. Starter, from $4.99 a week, covers Seedance 2.0 Mini, 2.0 Fast and 1.5 Pro at up to 720p and 10-second clips; Pro adds Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, up to 1080p (4K on 2.0) and each model's full length.
How long does a generation take?
Usually a few minutes, depending on model, duration and resolution. Jobs run asynchronously; you can leave the page and find the result in your library.
Which model should I start with?
Seedance 2.0 Mini for a cheap first pass, then Seedance 2.5 or 2.0 for the final depending on whether you need length and references or 4K.
Can I edit a video after generating it?
On Seedance 2.5, yes: edit and extend modes work on a finished 2.5 generation. Other models require a new generation, optionally starting from the previous last frame.
