Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Seedancee for use of the website, the creation workspace and the API. Please read them; by creating an account or using the service you accept them. Plain-English summaries appear in italics-free callouts, but the full text governs.
1. Who we are and what we are not
Seedancee (the 'Service') is operated by the company identified on the contact page ('we', 'us'). Seedancee is an independent AI creation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ByteDance. Seedance and related model names are used to identify compatible third-party AI models that we access through a licensed provider. Nothing in the Service should be read as an official ByteDance offering.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old (or older where your local law requires) and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything done under your account, including by workspace members you invite.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it current. One person may not hold multiple accounts to obtain promotional credits or to evade plan limits.
- We may refuse, suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, the content policy or the acceptable use policy, or where the law requires.
3. The service and third-party providers
The Service sends your prompts, settings and reference files to a third-party video provider (currently Kie.ai) that runs Seedance models, and returns the output to your library. Model availability, capabilities, processing times and moderation depend on the provider and on ByteDance, and can change without notice. We publish current capabilities in the workspace and on the status page, and we do not guarantee that any model or feature remains available.
4. Credits, plans and billing
- Generation is paid for in credits and requires an active subscription to one of the plans on the pricing page (currently Starter and Pro, billed weekly, monthly or yearly). Without a subscription you can configure generations and see their cost, but not generate. The plan determines which models, resolutions, clip lengths and features you can use.
- Each paid billing period adds the plan's credits: weekly plans every week, monthly plans every month, and yearly plans one twelfth of the year's credits every month.
- Before each job the workspace shows an estimate. Credits are reserved when you submit, captured when the provider reports success, and released when the provider reports failure. A failed job does not consume credits. Subscription credits are spent before credit pack credits.
- Unused subscription credits roll over to the next period, capped at one period's allowance (one week's credits on weekly plans, one month's credits on monthly and yearly plans). Subscription credits above that cap expire when the next period's credits are added.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases available only while you have an active subscription. Pack credits never expire, but they can only be spent while a subscription is active; if you cancel, they stay in your account and can be spent again once you resubscribe.
- Credits are not money, are not redeemable for cash, and are not transferable between accounts.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax; applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated at checkout. Checkout may show the price converted to your local currency.
- Purchases made from 3 October 2026 are sold through Stripe Managed Payments: Stripe, through its Link service, is the merchant of record for the payment. It collects the payment and the tax, sends the receipts and invoices, handles payment support and disputes, and its own payment terms apply to the transaction; your statement shows LINK.COM followed by our name. Seedancee remains responsible for providing the Service and for these terms. Subscriptions started before that date continue to be billed by us through Stripe until they end.
- Stripe Managed Payments does not accept buyers in some countries and territories (currently Ascension Island, China, Cuba, Iran, Kosovo, North Korea, Russia, Syria and Tristan da Cunha). From those places you cannot buy a plan or a credit pack, and so cannot generate.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and your plan and its credits remain usable until then. Plan changes also go through the billing page.
- We may change prices and credit rates for future purchases with notice on the pricing page. Changes do not affect credits already in your account.
- Refunds are governed by the refund policy. As merchant of record, Stripe may also refund a purchase itself within 60 days, for example to resolve a support request or prevent a dispute; credits from a refunded purchase are handled as the refund policy describes.
5. Your content and generated outputs
- You keep ownership of the prompts and reference files you upload ('Inputs'). You grant us a licence to store, process, transmit to the provider and display them as needed to run the Service and to comply with law.
- As between you and us, you own the videos generated for you ('Outputs'), subject to these terms and to the rights of others. We make no claim to Outputs, but we cannot assure copyright protection for AI-generated material, which varies by jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for Inputs and Outputs: for having the rights and consents needed, for how you use Outputs, and for compliance with the content policy and acceptable use policy.
- Outputs may be similar to Outputs generated for other users from similar prompts; you receive no exclusivity.
- If you publish an Output to a public gallery, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and index it, and to show it in curated collections with attribution, until you unpublish it. We may moderate public Outputs before and after publication.
- We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train AI models.
6. Acceptable use
You must comply with the content policy and the acceptable use policy, which are part of these terms. In summary: no sexual content involving minors, no non-consensual intimate imagery, no deepfakes or impersonation of real people without consent, no reproduction of copyrighted characters or works without authorisation, no harassment, fraud, malware, scraping, reverse engineering, rate-limit evasion, or reselling access without a written agreement.
7. API and developer terms
- API keys are personal to your account or workspace. Keep them secret; you are responsible for use under your keys.
- Rate limits and quotas apply and may change. Do not circumvent them.
- You may build products on the API but may not present them as official ByteDance or Seedance products, and you must pass the content policy through to your own users.
- We may suspend keys that generate abuse, excessive errors or security risks.
8. Intellectual property and takedowns
The Service, including its software, design, documentation and original examples, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or resell it except as these terms allow. We respond to copyright complaints under the process on the copyright page and may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
9. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, models or the Service with reasonable notice where practical. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you a reasonable period to export your library and will refund unused purchased credits as described in the refund policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Service and Outputs are provided 'as is'. Generative models are probabilistic: Outputs may be inaccurate, unexpected, or unsuitable, and may not match the prompt. We disclaim all warranties to the extent the law allows, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from the Service or Outputs. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your Inputs, your Outputs, your use of the Service in breach of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our breach.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate for breach, legal risk, prolonged inactivity on accounts without a subscription, or non-payment. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes) survive. We will make your library available for export for at least 30 days unless the law or a serious violation prevents it.
14. Disputes and governing law
[Counsel to complete: governing law, venue, any arbitration clause, class-action provisions, and consumer carve-outs.] Before starting formal proceedings, contact legal@seedancee.com; most issues can be resolved directly.
15. General
- These terms, the privacy policy, the refund policy, the acceptable use policy, the content policy and the copyright page form the whole agreement.
- If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- We may assign these terms to a successor; you may not assign them without our consent.
- Notices to you go to your account email; notices to us go to legal@seedancee.com.
- We may update these terms; material changes take effect after notice, and continued use means acceptance.
