Seedance access by region

Summary

Using Seedancee from your country

Seedancee does not geo-block the marketing site or the workspace. If you can reach seedancee.com, you can create an account, and generation requests are processed by our provider on your behalf; your own location does not change which models you see. Two practical limits exist:

• Payments go through Stripe Managed Payments, with Stripe (through Link) as the merchant of record. It does not accept buyers in Ascension Island, China, Cuba, Iran, Kosovo, North Korea, Russia, Syria and Tristan da Cunha. Generating needs a subscription, so from those places, or wherever Stripe cannot take your payment method, you cannot subscribe or generate, although you can still configure generations and see their cost.
• Sanctions and export-control law apply to us as a business. We block accounts where the law requires it, and our terms describe this.

The site is currently in English, with translated versions rolling out in waves. Translated pages are published only after native-language review, so if you land on an English page in your language's URL, that page has not been reviewed yet.

ByteDance's official channels

ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 page lists the Dola chat interface, the BytePlus Playground and an API. BytePlus is ByteDance's international enterprise brand, which suggests these channels are aimed at users outside mainland China, but eligibility, supported countries and sign-up requirements are decided by ByteDance and can change without notice. We deliberately do not publish a country list for official channels: a wrong or stale list is worse than a link to the source.

Third-party providers

API providers such as Kie.ai serve developers globally and bill by usage. Regional differences at this layer usually come down to payment methods and latency rather than outright blocks. Seedancee's own generation traffic goes through Kie.ai regardless of where you are, so provider-side availability is something we monitor and report on the status page.

What differs by region even when access works

1. 01

   Content rules

Our content policy applies to everyone. The provider's moderation applies on top and may be stricter for some categories. Local law applies to you as the creator.

2. 02

   Language

Seedance models accept prompts in several languages, but our tests are written in English and we cannot yet vouch for prompt adherence in other languages. Native audio speech quality also varies by language.

3. 03

   Latency

Generation runs on the provider's infrastructure; your distance from it affects upload time for references more than generation time.

4. 04

   Taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars before tax. Applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated at checkout from your billing country, and checkout may show the price in your local currency.

How to check for yourself

1. Open the Seedancee workspace and start a draft; if the model picker loads and shows a cost estimate, the workspace is available to you.
2. Start checkout for the cheapest plan (Starter weekly, $4.99 before tax); if Stripe does not accept buyers from your country, checkout stops before any charge.
3. For official channels, read the current Seedance 2.5 page and follow the linked sign-up; do not rely on third-party summaries, including this one, for eligibility.
